I have a 700 but if I had the money I would use a 4L80

Im thinking I might be better off with the 700r for now ?
I was still figuring out which one to use?

ive talked to a tranny builder and he stated that he could make my 700r handle the 454 power.corvette servo different planetary ect ect.im gonna try that route hope it works for me

"IF" he knows what he's doing you shouldn't have any problems with it, as long as you don't go beyond what it's built for.

heres my deal I'm putting a 454 in my 87 v20.the motor came out of a 93 burb.i have the transmission and t case out of the burb.i want to change to the transmission out of my truck to the the transmission from the burb.will it fit to my t case??

So that one is a van hows that one going so far?
I have decided to leave out my 700r and just put in a 205 for now.

well update motor done this week hopefully...I went w raided the piggey bank and bought a monster 700r tranny .they should have it built in 3 weeks.i hated to spend the money but I think it was the best route

Monster did such a bad job on my 700R4, I learned to build them myself. There's videos of them putting htem together with impact guns, like, they were proud of it...

If at all possible, I would highly recommend getting your money back and using literally anyone else.

Go on their page and watch the video in the video section, "A 2004r for The Bandit", they checked no clearances, and imacted the VB bolts on...

They've pulled the one video of them slamming a 700R4 together in like 27 minutes. As well as the comment that one guy can build 4 a day, because too many people called them on the quality of such a thing.
