Several test fits. Went with the ICT mounts but it seams like the engine is really close to the fire wall?
Has anybody else done this LQ4 NV4500 swap? I guess I'll mock up the tranny to see where it's gonna land...

I can maybe fit a 3/8" ratchet with a standard depth socket on it behind my engine(LQ4) to firewall. I used the ICT brackets for sbc to ls, not the plates. the plates have more adjustability.

before you put your engine in , take the valve cover off and remove the the damn oil filler neck
You can now choose to use it if you want, but you now can also put the cap directly on the valve cover. What year is your 6.0? theres PCV improvements in 2004 and 2011 ish (gen iv but retrofit) and a TSB from like 2007 for a new oil filler cap (for pcv purposes) all to reduce engine oil burning. The last one is only relevant if you have really cold ambient temperatures.

just get creative with the wire so its not resting on the firewall and that your exhaust clears
I'm only worried about the NV4500 shifter position and making sure the stock 6.0 fan fits in the original 4 core fan shroud. I'm considering adjustable engine mounts and sliding the engine forward about 1-1/2" to 2" ??

From experience (not the LS) I would move it forward and have at least an inch from the firewall. The shifter is gonna require a new hole in the floor anyway. Hopefully you have the newer style shift tower (short-removable type). EDIT: From the first post, I see you do. That's good. The trans will be tight. ;) Maybe a better way of saying that is the transmission won't have a lot of room inside the tunnel and it gets smaller as you go back. More important is making room for the t-case shift linkage. I did a Twin Stick on my 205 and it gets tricky fast. EDIT: Again I see you are not using a 205. You will have room for a single rod type linkage. Worst case, I wouldn't worry about the fan/shroud at this point. You have options, e.g., electric fan(s). If I were you. I'd bolt the eng/trans/T-case together and slide it in. Locate the whole thing based off the rear crossmember and the firewall clearance.
