I have a bit of history with this truck. I bought it 25 years ago as young Airman stationed in Tucson. I spent 5 years piecing it together with parts from local wrecking yards. Such as a 72 Camaro clip, 350/350, tilt, AC, PWR brakes and steering to name few things. In 2020 I sold the truck to my brother to buy the 77k10 I have now. My brother has since installed a fresh 350 and 700r4 but not much else over the 20 years he has had it. Just recently I brought it to my place to do some work on it for my brother. Back in the day I had installed a wiring harness from a late 70s Camaro, which worked fine until my brother connected the backwards and smoked the harness. So I begin the the work on the 57 by removing the old harness. Definitely more to come. BTW, I intend to buy this truck back.

That is a genius solution!
I may have to employ it when we redo the wiring on @Maxwellvis '55 Chevy car.

The bent washer thing is used in a lot of ag/industrial equipment. They will even weld the bent washers to a mounting bracket that bolts to a stud. JCB in particular.

I have seen it done somewhere in the past, can’t remember where. This is the first time I have used the idea.
