I finally installed my 4L80E in my 82 c10, everything hooked up great.
However I am getting several error codes and erroneous data.
I have checked and rechecked all the wiring and connectors.

Error Codes:
TOT Error
Over Temp
TPS Error
Batt Error

Erroneous Data:
Trans Temp 255 (when cold)
Bat Volts .5 (Meter reads 12+)
TPS at 34% (Set at .5 volts idle and increases as throttle is depressed)

I am pulling my hair out with this thing, I tried to call TCI, but they are gone for the weekend. I am guessing the controller is bad, but if anyone has experienced this your help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Main wiring harness connector on transmission is plugged in 180* out. Flip it around. Yes I realize how old this post is

Did you ever find the issue? I have the same. Was perfectly fine and now this. Emailed TCI twice now still no word.

There's only one way the plug can be installed on the transmission.

O.P. hasn't been back since 2015. I don't think he's going to answer you. And 4l80e has had 2 different versions of the connector plug. You should start a thread, including your specific vehicle, your specific transmission and your problems.

I haven’t been back here since 2015, but the post emailed me. I since have sold the truck but I did figure it out. The problem ended up being the wire colors on the solenoids in the valve body were incorrect. It’s been a while but if I remember correctly I had to dig in to the 4L80E manual to get the wires to the correct connections then it worked perfectly.

The problem was the wire colors were the right colors but not in the right position.
Hope this helps.

I had replaced all the solenoids and did some valve body mods.
