If you don't want to rebuild the one that is in it, there are options.
For my Bel Air I have sourced a 8.8 out of a Ford Explorer.
They basically use all the same components as a Chevy 12 bolt.
But it also comes with a limited slip and disc brakes.
When I have mine rebuilt, I will have the hubs drilled for the chevy pattern.
