I dont got any red pads. I even went to the grocery store they had green or blue. The greens don't seem extra suck do you think green is good enough Cubo? I bought time until tomorrow. Give one a "shot" later.
I'll keep lookin.

I believe the automotive industry is their most common use. Parts stores often have them in the isle with spray paint, bondo, fiberglass and stuff.

I've not used the type from grocery stores so I don't know how they compare.

I believe #8447 is the ones I use for paint prep. It's been a while since I've bought a box and can't remember for sure. They are a brown-ish red.

I'll use some green today and tell ya how it does. Never had it here at the shop before. Tool room guy says some guys here like it. Looked on box to see what they were but, no luck to level of scratchy. Lol

This is very confusing trying to figure out the color. Amazon has red being general, fine and very fine. Green being heavy. So who knows? The shop buys from Amazon because it's much cheaper.

Green is about equal to maybe 220 grit. I mean Scotch Bright isn't supposed to be sandpaper. It's just a scuffing pad. I use them as a general rust remover. It takes some elbow grease but if you want real scuff I use 60 grit silicone oxide or something like that. That stuff evaporates rust, metal, everything. I have an electric sander that I load a strip of 80 grit onto and use it on the calluses on my feet!!

I meant to edit the last post but

I got distracted.
This song is EVERYWHERE I GO NOW.
Im concerned for the drummer's health?

Haven't you heard this song lately?

Why you axe me that Idaho? Cuz I wondered what qualifies something to be called a chart? :)

Ive got some fairly wicked green pads here that I guess i'll try. "Heavy Duty" it says.. They are doin okay - it's scuffin alright, im testin it out...I was all over this city today, and didn't manage to stop n look for red pads.
Its really important to me see?
I DID buy new paint though. I was at WALMART last night and they didn't have any red pads either!
I had no idea they are so hard to find.

It's in the same fricking shopping centre as HOME DEPOT but it was 2230 or so.
Hooray walmart is open to 11 p again.

Anyways, im done ****** off. Only doin two anyway...lemme make a pot of coffee and i'll get after it.. :waytogo:
it's not even 0200.

Blech. 0420 now but i'm on break.
Prolly got one bout finished scuffing...round the lug holes sucks the most time then I figured out them shiny spots were marks in the steel face from lug nut sockets. Spent one whole pad doin the face, turned it over to run the inside and

And find it notable that this 15x6 Honda wheel has the weight on the inside not on the face.

I took some pics.
Dunt wurrry!
Hickory Farms for dinner. :p

That sink though..

Reckon it'll be alright. I spent way too much mfn time on this ONE and see now the others will be a breeze...if they are as good n straight .. I'll wipe it with ACETONE and hose it with Rust-oleum Silver Metallic as pictured.

I think the red pads would be too rough Goldlilocks. I also think these green pads are just right.
We'll all find out together.

Changed my mind on "aluminum" color after reading too much about the actual paint colors Honda uses on their own wheels.. This is a better choice.
It'll go gooder with the grille. ;)

Ima tint the windows the same color. :naughty:

Yes Kumho..them "4x2"s are a great choice for a 15" Civic tire... There were FOUR picks total in this wildly unpopular size and the Kumhos were the cheapest choice - BY FAR. Not a tough decision :nono:
80 bucks or I think the next choice was 130.

Im taking off $34/each sixteens there's nothing wrong with...These Kumhos are fine lol. :(

Metallic Silver sure seems bright right now, hopefully it'll settle like the Zinc booster. o_O

Wondering out loud....hay eBay...do you got any dogdishes for these?

Really digging it, the silver.
