Usually people baby those cars, rare to see one that's all beat the frig up like that. Did a 17 year old used to own it or something? Hell, if I had one I would hammer on it, but would still maintain the damn thing. That and I would resist the urge to put stickers ALL OVER it lol

Out of curiosity, if you don't mind me asking, how much does a c6 in that condition go for?
It was actually a dealer that beat it and blew the trans. And then offloaded through action without disclosing blown trans. $7k range, so not cheap but cheapest in the area

I would think a 'vette that's been abused was a recovered stolen one.

Will be going to a body shop next week to pull the frame. Removing trans/diff/torque tube for more space to work with. Turned out trans was already drained, therefore it is probably shot as I have been driving it around and flat towed it in neutral.

Almost everything is out.
Someone left "I have been here" mark on the shifter

Looks like a classic attempt at burning rubber and burning clutch instead. And the only reason for trans being shot is being dragged/driven with no fluid. The person that drained it and left it empty caused more damage that it had before he touched it.

I might have been wrong. Something did let go in the trans. Will finish the tear down later as need to prep the Vette it self for a tow to a body shop on tuesday.

There was a bit of sketchy puller rigging happening. This also might be leaning towards a part out, but I found the issue with the transmission. Input bearing fell apart. Finding the right bearing turned out not to be that easy.

Well, now that I have it halfway apart and parts selling. I disagree with couple of shops that I took it to. The main frame rail is not kinked. Just the support piece. I think they probably could have pulled it. But too far in to the part out stage at this point.
On the bright side, I finally got a full set of brakes to put on my TA. And a set of wheels for the El Camino. And maybe ls3 long block for the TA. And maybe a set of seats for the Camaro. And TA brakes to go for El Camino

Got new bearing for the transmission and it is back together after baking some gears. Back to good preload, no noises and all working gears. Too bad I don't get to actually use it. Anybody want to buy a complete ls3?

this corvette is almost all in pieces and another one coming in. Unfortunately auto, but supposed to be functional to begin with. Maybe I just need a general thread labeled corvette things instead of making a new one. Reason for auto one is that it is with resale intentions. Need money for foundation work and trying to flip it.
