I have installed both 2nd row and 3rd row seating out of a 2001 Yukon into my burb. I got so involved in the swap that I forgot to take pics of the install. I was asked about it seeing that I said I was going to do that in another thread so I will try to recreate it to the best of my ability. Keep in mind that I did these installs about 1.5 to 2.5 years ago. Hope my memory is working well.... This will come in installments.

2nd row: Select a donor with closely matching color

Mocking up: There are some modification to the rear brackets that must be made. This is where I do not have before and after pics. But it is just a matter of cutting out the portion of the brackets that stop the seat from sitting correctly in the burb. Here are mock up pics after I cut the brackets.

You will notice that the front brackets are not sitting square. I will have to take pics of the solution. I will show them in my next post.

Do the second row seats fold down? Just curious how you get to the third row?

I modified the back of the seat bracket on both sides so that they sit flush on the ledge leading into the cargo area. This is right above where the seatbelts are mounted. You can see the line in the carpet where the chrome strip was - some rust there too.

I do not have the before pics but here is which brackets I had to cut/modify. You can see that I began cutting the humps out that prevented the seat from sitting flush on the ledge. Best thing to do is get one side of the seats in and you will see exactly what is in the way.

Just to clarify, these are Yukon as in "Tahoe Length", not Yukon XL as in "Suburban Length", right?

So if you go back and look at post #5 you will see the pic of the interior with the seats out. You can see the cargo area and then where the seat should be. You should notice a 90 degree angle between the top of the cargo area and where the seatbelts are mounted. Just below the seatbelt mounts is a hump or ledge. You can see the bump in the carpet. That bump served as a perfect measuring point for installing the mounting brackets for the back of the seats. I just used angle iron cut to length and set right above the hump. In other words, I used the hump as a stop for the angle iron. Then I drilled holes.

If you look at the inside bend of the angle iron then follow out to your left you will faintly see the crease of the hump there. The angle iron is resting on the slight hump. You will notice where I put bolts through the angle iron and the chassis and then through the seat bracket into the angle iron.

Again, you can see the hump in the carpet under the seatbelt mount.

only the 3rd seat would be different, I believe.
The second row is different, but 3rd row is the same. There's two bracket designs for 3rd row, one for the one piece 3rd row, and the 2 piece 3rd row adds a couple anchors, otherwise all tahoe/yukon/escalade/suburban 3rd rows from 2000-2014 mount up the same.

I was hoping it was full length, I've got my old wrecked 2004 yukon xl denali I'm about to part out. 6.0l is going into the 87 Suburban, probably the hydroboost too, and anything else that makes sense will get swapped (including the 3rd row). I was hoping the second row might as well :(

I will post more pics. Maybe you can compare. Might be the same or similar enough..

More pics of how I mounted the rear:

Center mount where both seats come together:
In this pic you can see the angle iron, and the mounting style. Notice cross bolts that connect both sides of the 2nd row together. THIS IS A CRITICAL CONNECTION in lining up your seat directly in the middle of the cab. Make sure they are bolted together when doing so... In looking back I will try to get better pics of this bracket and mount. You can also see that I had to incorporate the original seatbelt as well. Figure out your seatbelts while mocking up!!

Driver's side mount: I had to cut the seat bracket to allow the seat to sit all the way back. You can see the cut if you look carefully at the bolt going down into the angle iron in the center of the pic. I cut the bracket so it sits flush with the angle iron.

The second row does fold down. I should have mentioned this earlier but you want to make sure that they have room to do so while you are mocking everything up:

On to the front backet mounts (again, mock it all up before bolting anything in place):

I used shallow strut under the front mounts to space where I wanted. You may choose another option if you want. Notice that the seats fold down nicely.

What about putting the second row with a fold down console and flip up seat, in the front? Leaving the second row factory second row. Than I could fit 6 people without the 3rd row in. 87 factory buckets, console and 3rd seat. Sometimes I need 6 people and I need the cargo area
