I'm close to what he has, a Cali spec '89, but I don't know for a fact that V1500s and V2500s got the same equipment. Some years the 1/2 tons got air injection while the 3/4 tons didn't. We don't even know if his was a Cali truck or a 49-state vehicle.

And there was also 2 different GVWR's on the 2500's IIRC, and smog equipment is likely different and less if he has a 8600GVWR.

Well, this weekend did not go to plan...got some pretty bad family news that has me a bit distracted at the moment. At any rate, here are the pics I promised on Friday, and they only seem to further prove that the truck I have is un-modified. Since the truck was previously registered in California, I assume it must have passed smog at least once.

Click on the "here" in his post.

That looks 100% stock to me, only thing I'm not sure about is that big ol' hex head on the forward end of the passenger-side exhaust manifold. Mine doesn't have that, but everything else looks the same. Even the cat looks original which is something I would replace if it doesn't pass the emissions portion of the test. Mine was nothing but a burned out shell at 150,000 miles.
