I think only yesterday in this Very MSB I made comment about hot Helen has been doin real good lately? Today, as Reward , and in Thanks, Helen spit the INLET pipe out of her muffler on my way to work at 65mph.

I went from wind noise to open 3 inch pipe in .5 seconds.

I thought we were all going to die because the sky was surely falling!

I luck. out. at work and find about four feet of bailing wire.

I decide to "take a break" and try to wire my exhaust off of the ground.

The ghetto-ness underneath my poooor Camaro! The pipe BROKE.
I knew I could scrape a clamp SUPER EASY...The y-pipe broke at the union and dropped the formerally clamped straight pipe to the pavement. That piece of pipe looked like the pieces I showed you dudes from underneath the Blazer? I think it was in 3 or 4 pieces...super terrible, sounded like beaten rat's ass but looked worse. Like they put a bunch of 2 foot pieces together to run from front to back. That's all Dr.Suave had? Bah!

You saw the video..you heard thr magna blow soundin all ghetto.

It didn't pop out of the muffler, it separated a little bit upstream at some other unnecessary joint that wasn't welded either.

Plus there is the butched up connections of straight pipe where the convertor should be.. I assume only one convertor.

Anyways. That entire contraption is attached to my car by a heater hose connected fresh air pipe from the smog pump. That's all.

I pulled the IROC up on a curb real slick and ninja style -with no exhaust- and split my wire in two and tried to hang the pipe good enough to get home.

I'm in uniform wearing a vest and a belt...got r dun. No problem. Shift ends at 0700.

Later I found a ball of string on a forklift and revisited the exhaust since I had enough length to PULL ON. Got it tucked up perfectly acceptable to hit the highway 20 miles home.

Everything was going FINE until it wasn't.

I was about 4 miles from home, gettin off the highway the front caught something and I drive over the four pieces of exhaust pipe at around 60.

Miles per hour.

Yeah...

I hardly even knew. Actually I didn't know because there was the scraping sound again...

SUPER HAPPY I was the only car at that off ramp and there had been nobody behind me because my story is true, every word of it.

I brought the string with me just in case and I figured there was only 4 miles to go, i'll just retighten and pull it back up . Maybe run a new string real quick..

Looked under the car and the contraption pipe was GONE.

It WAS attached with baling wire to my torque arm!

Glad I didn't KILL ANYBODY.

What I heard that was still scraping was the metal part of the fresh air tube.



I rode it home like that. Fucc it.

I'm going back to Sooner Muffler on Monday.

Lmao.... That sounds like my luck. It comes in 2s or 3s. When I complimented the K5 she **** the drive shaft. I pull over.... I proceed to look under and the slip yoke is still there so great drive shaft just snapped off.... Ok yeah I can limp it home in 4wd. Put truck in neutral kick her in 4 high and hear it click I put it in drive and the transfer case starts spinning. I am happy now... Oh wait i'm not moving. ******* auto lock hubs. I rock the truck then start pushing her down the road to try and get them to lock in. NOPE. Look at the wife and say" glad we arent in a hurry. Gotta call the wrecker."

Lesson learned? Never compliment your vehicle. Tell it that its a piece of **** and it will keep trying to impress. First time you say how good she is, is the day she stops putting out.

I bring you report of repair in the IROC!

I think it took me the better part of FIVE MONTHS but in the end it fixed for $14.

I suspected it was gonna cost me FUEL PUMP RnR and I'm suuuure glad I get to keep THAT $500!

Anyways, I freaking LUCKED into the fix and discovered bad ignition coil connector 100% by accident. I think I bought this car in August? and I've put 2400 miles on it but just now learning how to drive it. Freaking awesome.

It's really. freaking. fixed.

I can't hardly believe it but it is.

Dr.Suave dumped his IROC at a MASSIVE monetary loss over the $14 ignition coil connector and a bad thermostat.
Granted I've got better than $400 in the thermostat RnR but ...


Seems to be perfectly fine now and runs as expected. I spend my time now tuning.
I think the ignition advance is set at 6° and that is HARDLY enough! Anymore.

Feels good to look somebody in the eye before I give em the old
