1987 Chevrolet 350 tbi high idle

There’s some kind of sensor in the glove box. I have no idea what it is it’s kinda cone shaped it’s been in there since I got the truck. I haven’t been driving this truck due to slave cylinder problems once again lost all clutch pedal.

I've never seen a sensor that looked like that. Looks almost like some kind of heat shield around it. Is there a hole in the end that threads into the motor? I'd almost say oil pressure sender?

Yep the threaded part has a tiny hole in the bottom. I bet that’s my missing oil pressure sensor. But now I’m curious on why it isn’t leaking oil if the sensor isn’t on the engine

any idea of why the exhaust has that hollow pop / bubble sound? I'm dealing with this same issue, only that sound on left bank of exhaust with a pop or backfire ever so often. Checked compression, done full tune up, im also dealing with coolant temp being to low i think 160 degree stat, changing it today to 195.

Been there done that with the high idle , mine was throttle body shaft were leaking,
