Sorry, forgot to post the pics of it when I tore it down and where the head was cracked.

were the original heads 706's? reason i ask, 706 heads are notorious for cracking. 862's are the best way to go!

were the original heads 706's? reason i ask, 706 heads are notorious for cracking. 862's are the best way to go!

Some of the 862's made by Castech are prone to cracking as well, though much less common than with the 706.

Are the 706 and 862s you speak of found on the cast iron pickup motors or are they from different applications ?

they are found on trucks. 706's crack, 862s when ported right outflow 243 heads

I have just put a5.3 with a4l60 in my 85k10. I have a drive by cable throttle body. And just trying to source a throttle cable and bracket for it to the truck intake. I was curious on what radiator hoses you ended up using.and what did you use for oil pressure sending unit? Thanks

I have used 98 ls1 f body sensor with stock 89 factory trans am gauges
