1981-1982 Blue emblem on grille

Hello fellow Square enthusiasts, I was on the ole Facebook marketplace the other day, and I bought what seems to be an 81 grille, but with a blue emblem. I asked the owner about it and he said it came from the factory like that. I tried to find pictures online of other blue emblems, but cannot find anything. Is this a legit package? Or a rare option? Pics included.

He "assumed" it came from the factory like that. It looks like someone painted it with basic blue paint. It's not a transparent or reflective blue like they did in the 60's and then again on mid 90's cars.

Well if i had a better picture of the emblem, you can see that it has lines through it such as the 1967-1972 trucks.

I can see the lines molded into it. Without going through and comparing different grille emblems, that one looks like a mid 70's one with the gold tinted plastic missing. Or maybe it's an '81-'82 emblem. There should be a part # on the back to look up.

It should be delivered to my house on monday, so ill look it up, but I haven’t been able to find anything online for it, so I am assuming it an aftermarket badge from the 80’s
