Thanks all for the welcome.
This is going to be a fun project and forum. I can feel it in my bolts! To be honest I almost bought an exact duplicate of her with a new 350 crate in it for the same money, but the interior was worse and the paint was roasted. I love the color combo as well and oddly enough, it had those very bedrails! Still, I waited for the right one and luckily brought a stack of digital cash.
I've been going over the RPO codes and ciphering out some things, and as far as I can tell she's bone stock except the muffler and Kenwood head unit which luckily was knob style so the dash is intact! I have to say I prefer the Dumbo mirrors for daily use but these are factory. Beyond a factory resto to the interior (bench excluded) and a retro radio w/under seat sub, it'll be bolt ons/ins. If I want it back to stock I always have the option and a fresh interior
. It is tough to think of changing it too much because it looks really appropriate and period correct, but I'm not in the preservation business so.... To my fellow enthusiasts I say
