I'm going to have to put the stock spindles back on or get new springs.

How bad? Slightly slimmer tire help out? I believe they make a few different style inner fenders for these cars.

Well my drive way isn't flat and the car was in neutral, it should have rolled down the drive way.

I'm surprised the stock hood fits. It looked like even that foam Edelbrock filter was going to hit.

Very nice! That's a slick setup with the '80-'81 scoop!

Does it already have big block springs?
I put new big block springs on my 79, even though it had a small block, to get it up just enough to clear the tires.
It also made for better weight transfer to the rear for holeshots.

I did not put big block springs in. I changed the spindles this morning so that's fixed. Now it doesn't want to go in gear when its running, doesn't seem to matter how much I adjust the clutch either.

Will it shift with the engine off?

Get every gear with the engine off. Might be a faulty throw out bearing.

I was thinking pilot bushing. If it's sticking, the input shaft will just want to keep spinning.

I didn't even consider that. It's been many years since I've worked on anything with a manual transmission.
