Oh man, that takes me back.. I had a Silver '80 Z28 that I built back in my late teens and early 20's. Sold the car to buy a house, tracked it down some years later and the guy didn't want to sell it then, and still didn't want to sell it last time I checked a couple years ago. gave up hope and bought a couple different toys including my '82 K30 since then, it's like the one that got away.. Lol Said i'd probably build another one some day. It was a super fun, badass little car! Looks like i'll relive part of my youth through you and this thread..

The 10 bolt should be fine for now. The motor has all stock internals. Once I get use to the car I'll make some upgrades.

Smart man!

Nice build!

You just got the thing you say? You've already done more than I've done in a couple years!
I got it at the end of last summer.

Thanks. The GMC has been with me since july of 1999. The suburban I got about 6 years ago after my daughter was born.

If you were to do the Camaro to match the Burb, would it simply be the dark green paint, along with original type Z28 stripes in gold?

Looks like you found a decent one. How is the interior? Most of these seem be buried under a mountain of stuff in a garage or rotting in a field. I saw half a dozen of these in a yard a couple weeks ago, looked like they had been there for quite some time.

Front seats need recovered and it needs carpet but other than that it's in good shape.

I like those wheels but cant run 14s with the rear disc conversion. I haven't decided on wheels yet.

The Z28 version was 15x7 and you can also get new aftermarket ones that are 17".
