a lot of things here. is this an aftermarket system? if it is pull it and put a hei in, never could figure out why someone would put an aftermarket in instead of a hei. if it is a hei and you have 12v to the distributor then it's either the coil, the ign module, or the pick up. the coil is easy to test. test it if it passes I would replace both the module and the pick up. be done with it for another 500,000 miles. highdesertranger
