I have been toying with wrapping my 77 C10 as a police truck with the light bar, etc. I know they frown on driving around posing as a police officer. Haven’t put much thought on the decals. Always loved the decals from Barricade in the Transformer franchise….the S281 Saleen Mustang.

maybe do the spot light….a few lights in the grill…just keep the interior as is.

i have searched but not seen a picture of a C10 police truck. Have you?

Thoughts? Would it be tough to sell with a police theme…not that I am trying to sell but for the right unsolicited offer…

How do you make your truck look like a police car and not risk “impersonating an officer?”
Not sure how this is not a 100% bad idea unless it’s not ever driven on public roads.

And it makes you look like a creeper, impersonating LE.

What I have been told is the police insignia on the door is the big one…the light bar isn’t a big deal as all kinds of security and / or escort vehicles ride with them….probably worth a call to Barnie up at the station and get their take….I see classic patrol car suite often at the FL shows.

I'm with @Grit dog on this one. I know in my state (OR) the red and blue light bars are ONLY legal on emergency response vehicles, service vehicles get yellow. Even the decommissioned ford crown vics, chevy caprice etc. Get their light bars, and decals removed before they are sold at auction. Other states might be different but I would be suprised.

I can use vinyl decals…easy on, easy off…maybe just the one light like The die cast step side shown…

They don't ride around with BLUE ones on non LE vehicles.

I'm going to agree and say this is 100% bad idea unless it's a trailered show queen.

Look up the motorcycle funeral escort guy in Florida Jeremy something is his name. Although the wants to appear as a LE officer. Keeps getting arrested for it. Has deep purple lights that look blue almost. Just is a weirdo. Dressed like one as well right motorcycle cops and shirt as well.

Not vinyl but the ones to be taken on and off….magnets to cover a more “permanent“ decal.
I wouldn't be anywhere near a vehicle that was not police owned and me not an officer. Not having a decal on it not even covered with a magnetic decal of another form, not riding around with a fake LE decal inside the cab. How do you explain that one in just a routine stop if an officer see it. And I agree you 100% will seem like a creeper.

Shiiit I plan on doing this with a notch back mustang at some point.
Wanna make it look like an old ChP car.
If it were me, I’d do it.
Maybe be funny and change
POLICE into
PLOICE
