Hope the heat is bearable out there wherever you are at.
We are in El Paso. It is hot as he'll but at least it is not humid like where my wife is from, down in southern Louisiana... lol.
Please educate me on what you mean by "hockey puck" handles please.

Well, I meant to say hockey stick ...
Look at the bottom left pic on the link for the 78 - 81 standard panel. The armrest has an angled thin part that goes upward and mounts to the door with a single screw.
The inside of that pull is plastic that will break and now you have a flopping pull handle.
My experience has been that door pull straps, like in the Squares for upper trims and the 77 and prior Firebirds are the better route.
It's been high 90s to 100 the past couple of weeks. On the plus side, the humidity is lower - 39 percent today, under 50 percent during the day in general during the higher temps.
Set the thermostat any lower than 77 and the ac runs all afternoon to keep it there.
Anything cooler than that with air temps in the high 90s is a pipe dream in this house.
Plus is that if you keep it warm you avoid the shock of going in to the heat and vice versa.
Downside is you will sweat if you do much more than lay on the couch during the day.
BUT-
I ain't freezing with no electricity or heat like a few years back here.
That sucked.
