He was having a blast! He was only 4 yrs old in that pic. I wish I would have had a better pic of the throttle control. He had to steer with 1 hand and throttle it with his right hand. Pretty amazing for a 4yr old to develop those kind of skills early on. The only advice I can give you, is that if the powerwheels 4-wheeler you have is 12 volt, you can make it go 2.5mph faster by adding a 6v battery to the system wired in series. That will be plenty fast, and it wont burn up the motors. If that's what you want to do there is a forum just for that stuff, modifiedpowerwheels.com. You will be amazed the kind of things ppl do on there. Good luck and let me know how it turns out. BTW, my son is 7 now and still talks about that truck to this very day. So I know I have made an impact on him.:High 5:

That is pretty cool. My oldest is just about to turn 4 here in about 3 weeks or so. I'll have to look into that. I think he'd think it was fun especially building a little dirt ramp like that for him to jump :) I've never really thought too much about modding a Power Wheel before :)

Holy ****, that's the last thing I needed to see, haha. That's awesome. I got a few twin cylinder kohlers laying around. Maybe I could slap one of them in a power wheel and get my R/C stuff from my helicopter and.....

Thnx to everyone for the replies. I do have a bunch of toys, from r/c cars to a shifter kart for my son, to a 1933 ford 3-window pit cruiser that I built with a 5hp motor on it. I also built a milkcrate cruiser out of an old electric wheelchair (thats what I used to do for a living). I will include a pic of the rear of my car and a pic of my son on his souped up powerwheel F-150 a few years ago, that was built out of an electric scooter transaxle. I'll get some more pics of the car as well. I have to mention that it has a 1800w stereo system in it also (good and loud)! I'll definately get pics of all my toys also. Once again, thanx for lookin. Billy

That's 2 badass pic there. That tire looks mean. For certain, you gotta be using up all that wheel well with that much tire on a stock car.

That power wheels is awesome. I'd bet he can put a spankin on all the others kid that have a power wheel. Those tires should last alot longer too. Thats the kind of retrofitting I like.

Yeah hotrod the back tires are huge for a 68/69 wheelwell. I have always liked the look of the huge tires without the vehicle being tubbed out and all that. It is more of a look now than anything. Especially when they have cars that will run the 1/8 on 8.5" wide tires in the high 4's now. On the ass of a flippin Pro Mod! Pretty cool stuff. I have an HPI Savage XL that has a Fastlane Machine chassis, spiracing billet wheels, hybrid bulkheads with bulletproof gears, just waiting on the fundage to get the motor from Castle Creations. The powerwheel was definately fun for him. It was strong enough for me to drive it and I weigh 280lbs! The wheelchair that it came off of was capable of hauling around a 450lb person so, it was no trouble for a 30lb kid and a 20lb truck. I'll include pics of the Savage and 1 of his old electric Kett Kar. I also have a collection of traxxas vehicles, 2 Rustler VXL's, 2 Mini Revo's, 1 mini Slash, and 3 Clodbusters, not to mention a shitload of parts pcs, and extras!

I like the Savage.... castle creations makes the BIG motors right? I've been out of the rc car scene for a few years now, but had these cars. All have been sold.

Hpi Mt2, Hpi Rs4, Tower hobbies nitro St-15, Ofna 1/8th scale buggy, RD Logics Sho 1/8th scale buggy, Team Losi Mini LST 2 and my favorite..... One of the first Team associated RC10 buggys in its original box. That is the only one I saved.

I dont know what HPI stands for but its a brand, they make really fun car toys. That hobby is a blast, I wish I could afford it haha! You end up tinkering with them so much you just cant stop. You can get a ready to go kit to have fun with for a few hundred bucks easy, I watched my friend drop 5 grand into Rc cars after he closed down his body shop and sold alot of his ****.

Not far from me, and if dragn is in OKC area, I am sure he is aware of it, there is an indoor RC track here. RC Competition on SE 89th St. I thnk they also have a bigger dirt track out back too. I know you go by there on the weekends and the place is pretty full.

hahaha, the $30 ones are Targer are infant toys. I don't alot about RC cars, but I do know they are expensive hobbies. You can trick them out just like a real truck or car with suspension mods, motor mods etc.
