MGB would have been a better choice since they are bigger. I just found my car for a really good price and it was in really good condition considering age and how long it had been sitting.

The one I`d really like to have would be an MB-A a MG-C with the six cylinder would be a fun one too, if it was upgraded with FI and electronic ignition..

Didn't know there was an A or C model. Just thought the MGB was a lone model.

No MGA GT model but the later A's offered a twin cam engine for a bump in power. I don't have a twin cam version , just a basic '59 with the 1500cc engine. MGB's offered a GT version but there wasn't any power increase, just a different body style. The MGC was based on the B model and equipped with a six cylinder, it didn't last long because the chassis wasn't designed for the extra weight so it didn't handle well.

My buddy's dad has a midget (forget the exact year, wanna say '71?) sitting in his basement. Always thought that thing was cool, I remember when he used to drive it around the neighborhood thinking how crazy small it was. Been there since the late 90s, he stuck it down there to stop us from messing with it out in the driveway, we'd always hang out on/in it. Haven't seen it since last time I was in that house as a teenager, but his plan was always to restore it when he retired. I believe he just retired last year and being quarantined and all I'd be willing to bet he's been playing with it. Hah, I'll have to ask about it

Yeah its so much fun. I'm going to have it tuned by a local tuner to get a few more hp out of it. One of the best parts about the little thing is you can pretty much get replacement parts for almost everything. I thought when I bought the car I was going to have a hard time getting parts but that was far from the truth.

You do good work, interior and engine bay look so finished. Any plans for a scooped hood or paint? I kind of dig the patina on the paint.

Also, your exhaust manifold is nuts.

Hey thanks. As far as the paint goes I'm probably just going to have it buffed out because I like the patina look. So if I just go the patina route I will not do anything about the scoop but if I paint it I might do something. The interior was done by a local guy who works for SSC. Google SSC and when you pulled up the tutara or the ultimate aero the same guy who does all of those did my interior.

I can't take credit for the header because it is a factory replacement for the car I pulled the motor out of. 2005 cavailer. I just modified the downpipe to go a different direction.
