This is when i first got it goin good and me and my dad took it in some woods and i knew i wouldnt make it but figured what the hell.. And we did it and my front bumper is the only thing that stopped me we dug it out and drove back out

I really am thinking about cutting the bumper or either get a new c channel and make me one the original is dented up so i dont see hurt in cutting it just make a new one is i sell it that looked like the old one

I have a guy supposed to buy my rallies for 75 tomorrow and hopefully i can get the other tires mounted and stop by o reilys and get a oil filter relocation kit

Cool project.....:)...I agree with O77, these older flat-fenders look good closer to a stock height...

Yea but i may try to sell my old tires and buy 2 sets of shackles to lift it about 2 inches that way i can still have a little play room those tires are 12.5 inches wide

I'm thinking your on the right path with this thing. Got the right ideas and being able to keep it safe, fun and functional. :waytogo: I'd love to have that thing on my dads property.

If your not going to tie it into the frame, don;t do anything to drastic with the truck.

I plan on bolting it to the frame on the back bar it's gonna go to the body then I'm gonna make another piece that comes from the underside and bolt it to the upper bar then make that piece where it bolts to the frame

I got my tires mounted but prolly gonna have to buy wheel spacers and defiantly shackles and try to get 2 inches I got pics I'll post them later

Cool !!! Just so its a roll bar and not a show bar or just a place to mount some overhead lights.

I don't think there is anything wrong with lights on it. Just saying, don't install the show bar for the purpose of looks and just a place to mount lights. I like those overhead lights. Not for the show purpose, but for use. They light up the front of you like daylight. So if you have a good mounted to the frame roll bar, worst than can happen is your lights get broke and likley your mirror on which every side you roll to. Maybe not even the lights if you don't go all the way over on its top.

I was just thinking that lights on a rig like this would start to over power it in the looks department. I could be wrong, though. I do like the light bars on the K10's and stuff but those are bigger vehicles.
