I can see a scrub mark on the inner fender there, I guess that thing was flexing some springs in the past, lol.

Well it started out i was just gonna putting in a new clutch i had to remove a floor pan then i figured what the hell lets get all this rust out and then i coated it with undercoating then i figured id put all new gaskets on it since i was getting water in a my oil and had leaky cylinders..I still gotta flush out my radiator and buy 2 pcv valves.. i want to get a relocation oil filter instead of that big ass thing...
I even installed a radio in it and 2 surround sound speakers fit under the dash nicely
i mainly decided to do all this because no one will ever see a old jeep like this and the fact i took out the cancer.. Im just waiting for someone to walk up with a good amount of money or a nice 4x4 chevy or sumtin hell idk.. ive had offer of a full size bronco , a 22, small camper, and a ford tractor.. But i may just keep it hell who knows..
Gladto hear all the comments i really cant wait to see this thing done

I thought you were building it for yourself.... The old jeeps like that go for big money they closer they are to original. The one my dad has is worth a good little chunk of change just because its mostly original and un restored. You didnt screw your jeep up in anyway but just thought I would mention this.

My dads buddy in phoenix has a shitload of the flat fender jeeps all over his property in different stages of restoration, it was a really neat sight to behold. Just dont do anything to it that cant be reversed!

Cool, I don't think the front are going to be a problem, it was the 3 and 9 o'clock positions of the rear that looked like a tough fit. Even got a little bit of room for some spring drop. Not much but maybe enough with light of a rig. Don't let Fatty Freddy ride in the back.

Yeah, you still might need a little lift. That thing flexes much more than I thought it would.

Yeah don't make it too high. Just from a looks stand point I personally like these era of jeeps not as lifted as the newer one (1970ish and up)

Cool project.....:)...I agree with O77, these older flat-fenders look good closer to a stock height...
