I currently have 15x8 rally wheels, and I have the chance to buy some 16x8 eagle wheels back from my cousin. I'll be needing tires soon so I need to make my mind up on rims before I buy tires. I've noticed that 16's seem to have a lot more tire choices available, and im wondering if they are starting to phase out 15's? Has anyone else given this issue any thought? Looking at 33 12.50's vs 285 75 16 or maybe 305 70 16. Any input??

These are the eagles I'm looking at buying back. Set of 4 for $150.

I don't know if they could ever phase out tires for 15" rims completely because there are still many on the road that need them but for a long time now they've been thinning the herd so to speak on your choices of tires for a 15" rim. Definitely a very small choice when looking at truck tires. If it's me, I'd go with the 16 purely based on your choice of tires especially if you definitely need a truck tire rather than just a regular performance radial like you might see on a car.

Just my 2 cents...

This. 16" gives you a lot more options and at the end of the day will probably save you money.

Ended up buying new tires for my 15's. Had one starting to separate in the tread area and I could not wait any longer. Oh well.
