Dropped off heads, rods, flywheel and paid for the grind and polish on the steel crank.

Then busted our butts getting the body ready for media blasting.

Well we got some news and it went from bad to worse.

We got the underside blasted enough to see that the ole 55 needs a complete floor pan...

$1,000.00 added to the project with a quickness.

As we were talking about when to order the pan and what the little guys budget was, we got a call from my buddy at the machine shop.

The 990 rec port heads my buddy donated to his project were cracked

That just about melted the poor little guy, he had a face about a mile long for the better part of the day.

But we are still cracking on. My oldest son is getting the blasting done between all the rain and bad weather so it’s slow goin.

My little buddy is kinda down in the dumps over it but hopefully when we get some primer on it that I’ll perk him back up.

Cars..... They sure can break a little boys spirit

Man the blasting makes a mess.
My kid has to start blasting on his '55 soon, though he gets to do it in a tarp shanty in the driveway.
No garage space for him to do it in like you have there.

Looks good.

Unfortunately this project has really gotten set on the extreme back burner but..... I have made a tiny bit of progress on it.

I managed to get it blasted and put some epoxy on it. The body will be out of the blast bay sometime this week for a round of grey epoxy. Stay tuned!

@BigDaddy72 ,Not a real 4 door fan, but that is gonna be a nice ride. One thing about it 4 doors are easier to get the back seat passengers out of, big help not have to get out or scrunch up to tip the seat!!!! Same with your son's project @Catbox. You are both teaching your kids GOOD things!!
