Well today I changed the tint on the drivers side window that peeled off with good ole wal mart tint. Roll of 20% $10 and the applicator kit $10. So for $20 and about an hr of stripping and reapplying I am good as new. Just a slight color difference I can see from the inside but outside you can't tell due to 15 years of window oxidation that i need to get off.
For anyone that wants to tackle it the process is rather simple. Just keep everything WET. If you can keep it WET and not play with it dry you shouldn't have an issues. Just remove your panel. Clean, clean, clean your window inside and out. Then get your sizing by laying your tint on the outside of the window. Followed by peeing off the backing and hosing it down as you go with your application liquid(soapy water) and you can't use to much water on the sticky. Then take your tint ever so carefully and lay it on the inside of your window, spraying more water on the tint and squeegee it out. In that little pump bottle for one window I used about 1/2 the container. You then tuck the tint up into the upper window channel with the squeegee and trim your excess.
I am gonna give my tint about a week of sun before rolling down bc the weather here is ****. But when its hotter than a $2 hooker outside on a Friday night that falls on the 1st of the month it should only take a day or 2 to set.
Maybe my ramble will help someone that comes across the post but who knows.
