What have you done to your square lately??

I looked at our truck and am not sure what the hole's look like, but you can get various sizes of aluminum plug buttons at the hardware store. Put some pooky around it if you need to keep water out. But for you, welding may be better choice.

Probably keep more of the mud off you, and assume you can still roll up a window even. Keep ya from getting your hair messy. Looks good!

What have you done to your square lately??

I thought this was humorous. I didn't panic (mostly). For those who have a garage or shop NOT full of stuff. Pics are in order of, 1) final result 2) Issue, you see it? 3) plan 4) Yay! Had to giggle internet to figure out how to remove drawer. Two screws, sh!t in the way...drill with 90°...

What new tools have you got lately?

Well nothing cool. I spent 3 hours going to two different napa's and two trips to autozone yesterday to get everything I need to finish assembling a wheel today. Scored spindle nut socket for $11 on closeout table though.

I also love those huge deck rear bumpers. Make a great seat when you just need to sit a spell.

Great read. Could OP need to double check push rod length? If cam timing is off, would more than one piston show valve kiss or rods bent?

It's also worth noting, that anything you post is searchable via the net. I've done searches for topics and specific things to see it bring me here as an option, and including my own posts. Not certain if relevant.

Did final break-in. Truck ran great. Will drain and fix some leaks (see Betty Blue build page). Aluminum coolant fittings and oil coolant hose. Arugh Idled in park at 740ish. Forgot to ck in gear. We'll mess with cking base timing and exhaust lean code after a little leak fixing.

Awesome, gut was telling me that. Ran twice so, 20 minutes total. Definitely getting hot. Will do last one today. Drain refill. Set idle timing tomorrow after warm up. Stock is -4, and think edelbrock says -3 for cam.
