305 to 454 Engine Swap?
Ha, going the other way I'm replacing a shot 350 with a 302 that will be rebuilt at a restoration place walking distance from my house. The engine has a steel 2 port head with a Motorcraft carb, that as posted elsewhere I will be swapped for a new Weber 38-38. '87 2 wheel drive with manual trans.- Number 6

I'm calling a classic restoration place here in Mexico City who probably has a rebuilt 305 with a 2 barrel steel intake manifold for sale with a Motorcraft carb adaptation. 2 barrel carb - barking up the wrong tree?
So after some more investigation and member's advice about single vs dual plate manifolds, I realize I was miss guided. So what I'm considering now is finding a TBI manifold and having an adaptor made for the 2 barrel with a nice smooth transition from the 38mm. Seem reasonable? Also this is a...- Number 6

I have a '87 Silverado with the 4 headlights. Can I switch to the 5x7 and move the turn signal light without much trouble? -

From what I've read single plates are better for torque and not top end. Some racing classes only allow 2 barrels and Holly is the brand everyone uses.- Number 6

OK, my first post. '87 350 Suburban in Mexico. 4 Spd trans and Q-Jet. Tried a 2 barrel Motorcraft, but the "mechanic" broke it :-( I'm a fan of Weber carbs and am contemplating putting a 38/38 Outlaw with a single plane manifold. I don't want to spend a lot. My 3rd Suburban, 2nd '87. This one is has a carb and 4 speed. My US version of course was automatic with TBI. It needs some work, but I'm pleased to have one again.- Number 6
