I wasn't sure where to post this so I will post it here :)
I have an 84 C10. My buddy pulled a nice dash cluster from what he thinks was an 87. It is in better condition than mine and looks the same as mine except it has a clock. Will this fit my truck and what do I need to do to install it? Do I need a new harness because of the clock?
TIA,
Kevin

It will physically fit, but usually the wiring connector will need to be repinned to work with your harness. When I put an 84 harness into my 83 cluster, I found the wiring harness pin out diagrams , on this site iirc, and repinned it.

'84 and '87 should be pinned the same. However, the pinout for a standard (idiot lights) cluster is different than the pinout for a cluster with gauges.

A couple of the warning lights may be pinned different too, but that can vary. Service Engine Soon light and 4 Wheel Drive light, for example.

Besides the goofy Corsica-ish steering wheel, look at that dotted pattern rubber floor! Very interesting.

Yeah and definitely a shifter boot difference. I'm pretty sure my cluster just has black electrical tape over that indicator.
