What gearing do I need up front?
That’s what made sense in my mind although I have heard of different gear ratios front and back that don’t match. I wasn’t sure if there was a trick to finding out the difference needed but I guess that’s not possible?- Truck82

What gearing do I need up front?
Hey everybody! I’ve got a 4:10 geared rear axle that I’m possibly going to be putting on a 4x4 build and was wondering what the best gears for the front axle would be? I will have around 37s for the tires. Thanks for all the help!- Truck82

2006 5.3 LS4… is it any good?
Been reading up on it and it’s doable to make it rear wheel drive just not cost affective. Looks like that’s going to be more money than I want to or even have to put into this motor. The search continues …. Thanks for the help- Truck82

2006 5.3 LS4… is it any good?
I’m looking into a 2006 5.3 LS4 to build for a future project car. Is the LS4 worth building? I’ve heard of and seen a lot of people build the older LS models and they seem to be good engines but wanted to get some feedback from people with LS experience. Quadrajet rebuild problems
I think this should help. Had the same problem when I rebuilt my carb. Screw the mixture screws in until they lightly contact the seat. Back out 2 1/2 turns. Back off the throttle/rpm screw all the way. Screw in 2 1/2 turns once it hits the linkage. Hope this helps- Truck82

Oil pan off, anything I should do while I’m under there?
Yeah most likely a two piece. I believe the one piece started in ‘86. It’s very simple to do and shouldn’t take much time.- Truck82

Yes, at least on my model. It’s a 3/4 ton 2wd with a 350 engine. I’m not sure about other models or engines- Truck82

What have you done to your square lately??
Cleaned the oil pan. Putting on a new gasket because the old one had a million different leaks and made the whole thing nasty… it’s not perfectly clean but neither is the rest of my truck -

Probably going be putting a 454 engine in this truck at some point… forget just the crank. ;)- Truck82
