What new tools have you got lately?

Yesterday, at the local ranch/farm store, in the welding department. Looking at cut off wheels for the right angle grinder and came across this diamond edged blade. Suppose to last 30 times longer. Less smoke and sparklers too, I guess. Aint tried it yet.

Really weird problem with '84-up tilt column... fuggin eh!

Been many years for Me of being in a tilt column. Seems the last one I messed with that had this problem, maybe the lower bearing had fallen apart. I have a 1988 Buick Century. Seems every time I turn around there is something messed up with that little pig.

Glow plug relay? Or controller? Short cycle

I’m not sure if this has two batteries. Get the wehicle, or the batteries to a parts store and have them tested. If it is a two battery system and one tests bad, do not mess around replacing just one battery. That will come back and bite You. Be sure to seperate the batteries so only one at a...

As many people as are shooting at and killing cops these days, that’d be the last theme I’d paint or decal a wehicle. Join a voluntary fire company then go for that theme. Th400 to chevy np205 adapter

They are out there, but, they are expensive. The biggest problem is the adapter to take the transfer case shaft to the transmission shaft. I think they usually come as a set. Last I checked, about $1200.00 IIRC. That was why I sent My NP205 to HRPC because I could not afford the adapters.

    6.2 mechanical injection pump

Oh yes too. If You do not have a fuel pressure gauge that You can moniter, best to get one. Try not run ing a live gauge with a tube into the cab. Diesel fuel can not only ruin interior components, it is highly flammable in the right conditions. If the lift pump fails, the DB2 and the DS4 are...

    6.2 mechanical injection pump

I have also read a lot of discussions on what is the proper fuel pressure for the pumps on the 6.5 and it seems that it may be slightly higher than what the GM specd. Them for. But You probably best do Your own research as My memory serves just about no purpose as I get older.

Was a mighty busy day yesterday so just getting back to You @AuroraGirl Channel locks and water pump pliers is the same, I dont know why they call them whut they callum. The floor pans will innerchange and I believe the hump height was the same for all the four weeeel drive units. Dont...

What defined the shape of a SM465 shifter? The rod part

One way to find out. Get out Your gigantic size water pump pliers, get ahold of that top lever retainer, press it down, give it about a 1/4 turn anti clockwise and popp them outta the hole. Install is the reverse of install, and, it helps to have them in neutral before messingk wit them levers.

87 350 tbi runs fine until i stop

Somewhere out there, in the repair book or on the innernet, there is a chart that gives the resistance readings that the coolant temp sensor should be seeing at different temperatures. There might even be a procedure for setting it up for the test. If it ran fine for a while after the temp...

Anybody know how to clean this?

If there is a bulk fuel plant close that caters to ranchers/farmers, stop in there and see if they have bulk solvent. It is the same stuff as BBQ lighter fuel but might be some cheaper if You can buy it by the gallon. Probably have to have Your own jug if they do.
