    Hydroboost - Hard Pedal

I do not know what the internal differences between the two types is, I have never dismantled either one to find out. The parts man at that store is a very good friend and had worked as a parts man at one of the local GM dealerships for many years. With My phone call He investigated what had...

He got a replacement MC and stuck it on the hydro boost. Then his problems multiplied. After richard cranium with it for several months he asks me...

And also. I dont remember the diameter of the pulley for the alternator that drives the tach signal so be sure that if You have the alternator that came with the donor bracket that You measure both pulleys. If one pulley is larger than install that pulley onto Your new alternator as the reman...

Then a gauge rated at about 500 PSI would be a wise choice to allow for spikes in the system ? Thank You for the response.

The tuners said there would be no problem, but, I tend to be an overthinker and a worry wart to boot. New Stock optimizer with injectors set at 1950 PSI will produce no where near 800HP and most likely about 300 at the very too side. Thank You very much for the info.

I d I do know that he gad some real special torque convertor, maybe called yank, or some such. He also was hauling extremely heavy loads through some very rough mountain passes. Also running higher than stock tune and a real nice turbo charger system, but I dont know much more about what He was...

Installing the new AMG GEP Optimizer 6.5 diesel engine into My 2000 K3500, CC, LB truck with 4:11 gears. I made the purchase of a new ECM module that has the TCC engaged upon deceleration instead of disengaging and coasting. I have heard of horror stories of the input shaft snapping on such...

Air in fuel lines after sitting over night on 6.2

The later diesel trucks had the LP (lift pump) located on the frame rail, in about the location at the back cab door or maybe back a slight bit more. Easy to get to and to maintain (replace). Also, the integrity of the mechanical pump can be checked by hooking a FP test gauge to the outlet hose...

Air in fuel lines after sitting over night on 6.2

On top of the injector pump, short 1/4” hose shaped like an upside down U. Remove that hose and replace it with a length of 1/4” fuel rated clear plastic hose. Start the engine and watch for air intrusion. Might appear like a white foamy substance while the engine is running. If there is air...

Straight 8 Buick With Belt Driven FI

I didnt know that about the Buick engines. I had seen the engine in an old Buick at the shop where my dad worked. That was back in the days when I was first becoming aware of different performance options.

Straight 8 Buick With Belt Driven FI

Back in the late 60s, I had a 1953 Pontiac with a flathead straight 8 and an automatic transmission. That thing would fly.

Straight 8 Buick With Belt Driven FI

I did some screen shots from a fake book page about the straight eight Buick engines. It did not say what year this engine is but IIRC, the last year for any of the GM straight eight engines was 1953 or possibly 1954.
