    Dyno test of the new 350 537 HP 504 TQ Looks like my truck is going to run mid 11s. My old 327 made: 447 HP 400 TQ Now the question is: will it run 1.4 60 foots with the factory 2 piece drive shaft?

    I like production parts, no rules, I just want the engine to look like my older 327 did. I drive this truck a lot and enjoy it, its certainly no show truck, we just like it how it is, a picture of the old 327.

    Cam is a solid flat tappet 264 @ .050 .528 net lift, 108 lobe separation, with a 1.5 rocker, might go 1.6 on the intake, very mild lobes that will live on the street. My 327s cam was 480 240 @ .050.

    I had close to 30,000 miles on the 327 when I sold it for 5300.00, it gave me great service, I couldn't have had 2000.00 in it intake to pan, and my 12 year old son at the time built most of it. I didn't have 5.13 gears in it for all 30,000 miles.

    I run a 5.13 gear with a 30x9 tire, I should have went with 5.38s, but I'm building a 355 for the truck and the 5.13 should be fine. The 327 was mild the 355 will not be mild.

    Some more progress, heads machined for screw in studs and the valve guides installed, spring pockets cut. My son did some work to the crank before grinding the journals. Some preliminary flow testing was done.

    New sbc 400 blueprint engine keeps fouling plugs with gas

    I had a car with a MSD HEI, I often would wash the engine in the car wash. It started fouling plugs after a while, I would replace the plugs and they would foul again, it was the ignition, since then I had a customer with a HEI, same problem.
