So, this evening I was able to get it straight, stopped in the middle of the road, on a fairly flat grade, and launch the lumina 1 more time. (I've finally resolved all the overheating also)

I got almost to the quarter mile (80mph) and had to hit the brakes as a curve was coming up, but I beat the previous 17.2 second time I had.

I imagine if I actually could get it staged right with no interference, I could do like, 15.8 or so best time with the lumina on a launch.

The current tune is basically hitting the quarter mile at 80 mph consistently just before it shifts to 3rd gear @85mph, I tried it numerous times following that and got around that time


I'll hit it with a 100 shot sometime and post a new time

Turn your distributor up a little, put premium in, whatever you can do.

At the end of last season I just broke into the 15’s on a cool night. This summer i installed a Performer manifold and a 1” spacer. On a hot Friday night this year it ran 15.60 next up is different trans with stall converter.
My time is on the left #185 the reaction time is way off, surprise we are running a pro tree tonight lol.

I run a 5.13 gear with a 30x9 tire, I should have went with 5.38s, but I'm building a 355 for the truck and the 5.13 should be fine. The 327 was mild the 355 will not be mild.

Not going to get to 11s on the street with my set up. Maybe mid 12's once burban is finished launching in 4wd.
