Other side bracket getting the holes drilled out made some funny looking notches in some leftover 2x3 tube to see if my idea works to brace the section of 2x3 that the gooseneck bolts up to tie into the main 2x3 that runs along the frame I think it's necessary to keep it from wanting to twist... -

Keep at it man eventually you will find something awhile back I had a random sputtering and it was a combination of things one I had the original cap and rotor the rotor exploded and I didn't get all the bits out of the dizzy and there was a chunk of metal from the old rotor bouncing around in... -

Also got more 5/8" hardware to upgrade the 1/2" on the truck, old vs New brackets, another hitch receiver I'm going to add below the existing one is too high but it is good for my hitch mounted accessories (crane and eventually a vise) -

Some progress Remade the front brackets going to use some 1/4" scrap to make some gussets still need to drill some holes but my old drill bit the dust so I'm waiting on one to show up got a few more gussets to make for the rear 2x3 flatbed frame rail and some to the rear bumper to frame -

Ended up grabbing some 2" Dom for the bull bar and some 1/4" 3x4 angle for the goose neck -

Gooseneck progress cut the cross member shorter by 3in and relocated holes and you can see picture 2 it will sit flush under the bed(I think I have to get the 1" taller ball) upgrading all bolts to 5/8" grade 8 picture 4 I need to run and get some 1/4" 3in angle and re make the bracket(tried... -

Thanks will do it's still pretty far north but it's been a dry winter and fires are probably gonna be bad this year my friend is about 30min south of the current fires in Southern California -

Had to switch gears from the bull bar to getting the gooseneck hitch on the 83 some pretty bad wildfires near me and my buddy asked if I could get the hitch installed in case they need me to get them out of the dangerzone since he no longer has a truck starting by pulling the deck boards and... -

These are the ones I used for the design all slightly different but the black bull bar is close to the look I'm going for -

Progress on the bull bar I used 1/4"×6" plate 2ft Long each some scrap angle iron for the mounts and some 2 1/2" scrap pipe and some tabs for the lights getting dark so will continue on tomorrow -

Take the air cleaner off and look at the spray pattern when running, also kinda sounds like something a bad MAP sensor or TPS/IACV could do don't forget the basics timing,cap, rotor, plugs, wires, and coil, check the vacuum advance diaphragm and springs in the dizzy don't leave out the ECU give... -

Finished the brakes(one of the new calipers was damaged where the crush washer seals) and replaced the leaking coolant hoses got belts and fan clutch should be here tomorrow along with some fuel hose I still have to drop the tank I will get to it tomorrow also slapped a air cleaner on it -

Finally got the bed cleaned out pretty good shape unfortunately no signs of the air cleaner so I'm going to grab one of those cheapo Edelbrock ones(I might have a OEM one I can rob off one of my other non runners) still no brakes but have everything but wheel cylinders should have it driving by... -

Brother who ever touched that thing in the past... my guess is plugs fouled from secondarys being open like that it's dumping fuel it needs to set it up right or your gonna have problems I think it's quadrajetparts or quadrajetpower should have parts you need- Ajax19
