She's got alot of miles... I put 5.5 oz of seafoam in oil to clean up, and ran for 100 miles. I had a lifter making noise and it bandaided that. No noise immediately. Replacing oil pump o-ring and gasket. Oil pressure been low, but not dangerous, well sure didn't help (lifters).- Sgt Gus

So question, our 3/4 ton with th400 seemed to go into gear kinda hard if that makes sense. Park to drive or reverse, like a race horse wanting to get outta gate. Drives fine, shifts fine. Just seeing if that seems...normal?- Sgt Gus

Yes sir, I've gone through your thread, wow, awesome! Great info for us. Our 87 bracket is a one piece that holds alt and smog pump. Removing smog and borg pipes. I've seen some good 454 brackets, but have to find that 2nd bracket to hold reservoir. If that makes sense. I'm gonna have to...- Sgt Gus

Love the 454 set-up. I think I found alternator bracket, but can't find bracket for ps remote reservoir. Help? Love location of AC compressor. I also want to move from stock location above valve cover. Any help appreciated. Thanks- Sgt Gus

Almost met Jesus this AM due to a faulty thermostat!
I've seen my dear old Dad put the Stat on the stove. Glad your ok, scary. I better prepare my daughter for potential situation since it's her truck. Pulled off the t-stat yesterday on our build and had a 180° motorad in it. Think I'll put a high flow 195° ACdelco in when putting back together.- Sgt Gus

Cylinder Head sensors
Interesting, I was wondering myself. So if drivers side is temp, and passenger side is sensor for oem electric metal fan... What is the sensor, on front of intake? I thought that was coolant temp sensor.- Sgt Gus

Power Steering remote reservoir hose???
Good old thread. Our 87' 454. I like the 86 set up bracket when we remove our smog pump. Drill a couple holes and mount that secondary bracket for reservoir. The main bracket is $20 at parts store if I can find 2nd one.- Sgt Gus
