Does anyone have the specifics on how to wire in a modern (Tekonsha P3) trailer brake controller? I have an Mr Pickup rear bumper with the 6 way outlet that I would like to keep if possible. TIA!

I'm having a problem on my 77 Silverado C10 with a Tekonsha P3 controller. When I step on the brakes, the trailer brakes don't apply and the controller display shows 0.0, but when I let off the brakes, the numbers on the controller bounce around and you can feel the brakes applied.

I talked to Tech Support and it appears the signal from the brake light switch should go from 0V to 12V when you step on the brakes. Mine is doing the opposite, 12V to 0V, but my brake lights are working properly.

I'm confused as to what my next step should be. Any help or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
