Cruise control arm but no wiper controls

Not that I'm aware of, especially in a non-tilt column,(but I could be mistaken). All you would have to do is swap the column out, and just disregard the wiper control function of it. Your wiper switch wiring should have its own routing to right below/above(not sure) the headlight switch. If you...

Cruise control arm but no wiper controls

Your 79 didn't have cruise or wipers, on the turn signal lever. That wasn't changed until the early 80s somewhere, I believe. Its possible you have a column from a newer truck. But I'm not 100% sure on everything I said, I'm just trying to remember off the top of my head.

    cs 130 alt upgrade

I put a CS130 120amp alternator in my truck with a new adaptor for the wiring connection. Everything is working good, except for the oil pressure gauge. It registers fine idling in park or cruising. When I come to a stop light and its idling in drive, my oil pressure guage goes crazy, its all...

    Bleeding a power steering system

The initial bleed should be with the tires off the ground and engine off. After bleeding with the engine off, start the engine and bleed some more. Regardless of how you do it, it shouldn't be spitting fluid out of the pressure hose connection. Maybe you cross threaded the fitting on your...

    TCI Lock up kit install

I did my lock-up not to long ago. It's fairly simple. The hardest part is removing the tranny pan, to re-wire the solenoid. The vacuum switch is connected to manifold vacuum only, the 4th gear pressure switch, and there's also a switch(if you choose to put one in) it works off the brake pedal...

    Remanufacured calipers ??

I remember reading on a thread on here somewhere, that there is an aftermarket caliper that will fit our trucks. I don't remember if they were Brembo brand, I do remember someone saying they were pricey.

    Chrome side molding

The corner trim pieces, right under the tail lights are the only ones that cave clips. I put in my order with LMC, later today/tomorrow I'm gonna do the painters tape across the body, and see if I can get it on straight.

    1973-87 Hood

The hoods on 73-80 trucks at some point bend/bow when the hinges get stiffened over time. The hoods are designed to bend in that area in the event of a front end collision. I know there are brace kits for them, but my question is how safe are they. I myself would just be on the look out for...

    Help identify this whistling noise

Yeah, I went ahead and had them both changed out, I had a gofer( gofer this, gofer that) for the day(my nephew). He actually did the whole job under my supervision. He's been bragging for the longest of time about the things he's learned in auto shop class at school for the last couple of years...

    Help identify this whistling noise

At first glance and visual inspection, everything seemed normal. The cups on the u-joint weren't at all cracked or deformed in any way and I couldn't feel any play. The pins inside were thoroughly rusted, and fell out upon removal. It wasn't until I put the rear on jack stands, had my nephew...
