    Rear Brake Line Hanger

Looking for the brake line hanger that is riveted to the frame on the passenger side above the rear differential. Mine was removed via torch and was tossed at some point. Please see the picture below for reference (Source: google images)

K10 front brake pads wrong thickness?

Just to clear this up, the pads I had ended up working well. To correct the issue I was having, the inserts on the bolt eyes of the caliper have to be slid over so that they are flush with the inner surface of the bolt eyes. I was unaware that they could be moved when I first started doing the...

K10 front brake pads wrong thickness?

Hmm well looks like I will have to go pick up some pads at the parts store and see if they are any better. The sad part is I have to file down the backing plate because the caliper doesn't have quite enough clearance to fit between the ears. There goes my shiny new powdercoat finish...

K10 front brake pads wrong thickness?

I've been rebuilding my front axle over the last couple months and am finally putting the new calipers and brake pads on. However, when I go to put the caliper on, the outer brake pad seems to be too thick. The caliper bolt guides don't have enough clearance to get over the lip on the threads of...

    WTB 1981+ 4x4 Trans Tunnel

@ajdemello $60 sounds fair to me. I'd be happy to meet up in Lansing if we can make it work. PM the details and we can work out a meeting place. I'm willing to travel.

    WTB 1981+ 4x4 Trans Tunnel

@ajdemello That looks great to me. I have an auto trans anyway so I can just patch up the shifter hole completely. Do you know what year it is out of? How much do you want for it?

    WTB 1981+ 4x4 Trans Tunnel

Thanks for the offer @Big Chip but unfortunately that won't work for me. Big floor changes happened between 80 and 81. Plus, even if that did work I would still need the rear section that runs under the seat since that is part of the difference in floor pan design between 2wd and 4wd

    WTB 1981+ 4x4 Trans Tunnel

You have any pictures of the damage? I don't mind beating it back into shape a little. I plan on carpeting my interior.

    WTB 1981+ 4x4 Trans Tunnel

I have a 1983 c10 cab that has been used for a donor in my k10 rebuild. To clear the transfer case, I need the higher center floor section used in 4x4s. After some research it looks like 1981-1983 or 1984-1987 floor pan sections would work. I've searched in my area for a parts yard that has...

    Firewall Repair Advice

I have a bit of a rust issue on my firewall from what I assume is rain water running down from the cowl. Is there a good way to go about repairing this? It looks like the side panel is spot welded on and might be removable. The pictures aren't the best, but the hole extends all the way to the...

    3D printed GMC grilles

I own one, but it is small. Max build area is something like 6"x10"x12" When my truck gets to a point where I start putting stuff on it instead of removing things, I have hopes to use my printer to make stuff. I haven't really given much thought as to what yet though. Could probably make some...

    Heater duct in a Chevy K10 1973

Since you are overseas, something like eBay is probably your best bet if LMC doesn't sell it.

    Heater duct in a Chevy K10 1973

The VIN is also stamped on the frame. The location seems to vary but the most common location seems to be on the outside wall under the passenger door. See the picture of my K10 frame from this summer. This is on a 84 frame.

    Heater duct in a Chevy K10 1973

A duct from a Suburban should fit, since the dash components are the same across the truck, blazer/jimmy, and suburban lines. Just make sure you get it from one in the right year range. The dash design changed in (79/80?) and the HVAC ducting could have changed at that point.

US General Tool Carts, Tool Chests, Tool Cabinets

Unfortunately I'm a renter so I'm stuck with what I have. I did add some overhead hanging LED lights from Amazon though. They work great. I'm just grateful to have a place with a garage at all. Hoping to buy a house with a detached garage/shop building in a couple years.

US General Tool Carts, Tool Chests, Tool Cabinets

I picked up that same tool box a couple months ago. It's been great so far. My only complaint is that the full width drawer only has one set of slides. I store all my sockets in it and I'm worried about the weight rating for the drawer. The power outlets in the box are a nice feature, I only...

    Help With Hidden Kill Switch

If you wanted to be really clever, you could disconnect the horn and make that your momentary switch since it already exists in the horn mechanism.

    Help With Hidden Kill Switch

You shouldn't, but it depends on the current required to open the relay. If you have the capability, I would recommend doing some bench testing on the idea. It's just something I came up with sitting at work so please take it with a grain of salt.

    Help With Hidden Kill Switch

I'm not sure if this is what you had in mind, but you could use a tactile momentary switch. Wire it up to a relay in a latching configuration with the ignition coil and the key switch so that you need to hold the button down to trigger the ignition coil. I made a diagram to explain what I mean...

Manual Doors and Rear Roll Pan

I have a set of super clean manual doors. They were flawless until one of the front fenders nicked it when they were being pulled off. So now they have a chip in the paint on one door. The chip in the passenger door I mentioned: I also have a rear roll pan for sale. Both of these...

    Help

Yup @CSFJ is correct. The raised steering arm I have won't work for you if you have a Dana 60 front axle. It looks like you have to use some sort of block, as no one makes raised steering arms for Dana 60s. Check out Off Road Design's Website, they explain it all pretty well.
