    Goodbye Square

Jerry, congrats on making it to 81 and still enjoying your truck, a lot of people around me my age and younger aren’t with us anymore. Had to be hard to let go of a 69 Z28, but you sure made the new owner happy! The last 20 years have flown by for me so I take your advise to heart.

    G-Body Modern Muscle

Grand nationals were ahead of their time but bad to the bone none the less.

    Goodbye Square

It started life with a 283 and a power glide which I let get away from me, stupid I know. Currently has a .030 over 350 with 10:1 pistons and too much cam for the converter and the rear end gears. This is what’s going in. 5.7 LS1 from a C5 Corvette with a Holley mid mount front end accessory...

    Goodbye Square

I have some old school bed rails for the truck I need to sell. Any idea what I should ask for them. Seems like they used to be in demand.

I’ll keep checking in for sure. I find this site both informative and entertaining.

    Goodbye Square

The guy I’m selling the truck to says it will be his everyday driver and that will be a good thing. I enjoyed driving it but it did need some things and I just kept putting it off due to other priorities.

    Goodbye Square

Had to make a decision about thinning the herd and the square lost out this time. It would have been a good one to keep but I would have needed to dump more and more money into it. I need to focus on my Chevelle and my Impala for now.

    Fast Mustangs?

Ok, I know its a tv show but did any of you watch Street Outlaws this week, the daily driver episode? Half the field were Mustangs all sporting power adders and there were other muscle cars and a few Corvettes. One C5 Z06 Corvette was a big cube twin turbo supposedly in the 800 hp range. The...

    55? C60

Nice collection. I say 72 beatle. I traded for one during the oil embargo.

Favorite cars I have owned....and sold

The three that got away, 1967 GTO, a causality of the 73 oil embargo, 4 speed Ram Air 1 car. 1969 Dodge Charger, was my Dads car, he sold it after I left home without giving me a heads up. It wasn’t in the best of shape, but I had some real strong memories made in that car. 1986 Mustang GT...

    New garage

Thanks, that’s why I’ve kept this car for 23 years, I still love the overall look and lines of the last of the B bodies with body on frame construction. The camera is being kind though, the picture is only a few months old but the paint is showing it’s age and 211,000 miles. The car has not seen...

    New garage

The Impala is dark cherry metallic. The Titan has been a relatively trouble free workhorse for 166,000 miles and is ferrying a lot of my stuff the 200 miles from old residence to new, it will have to stay around for a while. The Camry is the wifes and our only gas saver. It’s a hrbrid and...

    New garage

Closed on the house last week so it’s mine now. Down side is the carpet and tile work didn’t clean up as we had hoped, so more money has to go in before we can move in plus the money I’m spending on getting my current residence ready to sell. Plus side is the basement garage has heat and air...

    My other cars

Mother drives it twice a week, to church on Sunday and to the hairdressers on Thursday. Not very far but far enough to reach operating temperature. I knew there were changes made over the years but haven’t had time to do much research.

    75 Firebird

I’m pretty sure if I disassembled a quadrajet carb and put it back together the engine it went on would never run right again, if at all.

    My other cars

Tell me your thoughts and experiences with the turbo Buick. My 90 year old mother has a 2015 Regal Turbo that I will probably take over when she gives up driving, not anytime soon I don’t think, but she only has 6 thousand miles on the clock in 3 years.

I’m jealous, married for 46 years and wife has yet to buy me a project car. She does have some other fine attributes though including putting up with me for that long!

    SOB’s Trailer Thieves !!!

Main purpose for this trailer is to haul a Scag mower if/when it needs to go in servicing or just be moved from one location to another. Goose neck might be a little overkill.

    GTO in Gilmore Museum

My second car I owned was a 67 GTO Ram Air 1 car which I got in 1970. Learned to drive a 4 speed in that car. Had to sell during the oil embargo years when gas doubled and then some. That was a mistake. I really liked the 65’s too, a very clean design. I hope you get plenty of opportunities to...
