    howto empty gas tank??

Yes there's a test wire that you jump and this allows for the pump to run whether the truck is on or not. Usually on the firewall or driver's fender area under the hood. If on the firewall, it's still closer to driver side. I think it's either Red or Gray... a single wire with a black terminal...

No spark, No fuel 1990 5.7 TBI

In your case the injector fuse is ECM B... I think it may depend on the year. Carbureted models also only had an ECM A fuse, I believe. No biggie. I agree with everyone else above about the dizzy taking care of your issues.... or at least should. You can take a peek at "Burb is no go.... "...

    Hazards not working help?

Permanent live? As in always hot? There should be unused female terminals in the fuse box at the top. Some are acc. on, some always hot. Push a wired male terminal to steal power from there. Remember to fuse it. Or if from under hood area, I think there's a buss bar at the firewall.

The fact you say it doesn't come on anymore is somewhat telling. The SES light should stay on while key is on, unless there's no communication with ECM. That's why 87 GMC Jimmy asks.

    Just wee bit fustrated

Sounds like the lower intake gasket is leaking. Very common on this type "cradle" looking engine both GM & Ford. not too bad to do as far as difficulty.

Burb is no-go - fuel pump or filter??

I must've missed that lack of fuel thing... i think the low psi thing threw me off. Lol sorry. The pickup coil ij the dizzy acts like a crank sensor in a modern setup. It controle fuel pulse... which also provides ICM pulse for spark to ignition coil. Sounds about right then to assume dizzy...

Burb is no-go - fuel pump or filter??

On the BLACK connector at coil, the small pink wire should be hot key on all the time.... the small white wire is the control from ICM, so this should pulse. It does matter. The GRAY connector at the coil is different, its small WHITE wire is the Tach. Like I said, unplug those injectors...

Awww...that sucks. Reverse was a great idea and usually works too. Good luck with it....

Burb is no-go - fuel pump or filter??

Well, it's a ground side switch to give spark (positive flow from little pink wire completes the circuit, if control ground is working)... so using an incandescent test light hooked to ground you should have pulse when cranking the engine at the BLACK connector (smaller wires) on the Ignition...

    Please help!!! Clutch/Tranny Issues

X's 2 unfortunately, something wasn't done right. When you take the trans down this time, leave the transfer case off until you verify clutch pedal function & bleed, etc. This way there's less to remove if you must remove it a 3rd time. Just don't turn the truck on.

New guy here!!! Need some carb help

That cable certainly doesn't have the right geometry. .. I don't see where the throttle cable is either. Looks like you'll need the TV cable bracket adapter for this carb. I'll see if I can find the link. Never mind.. That's the throttle cable hooked up, still need the adapter for TV cable...

    Clutch Slave Cylinder

I think manufacturers may differ. You can pick up a variety pack quite cheap though, otherwise you'll need to know more than just the head size. Could be M8x1.0 or could be standard thread...

    Headlight issues

The connection being loose or too corroded is the only thing I can come up with for "burning" up the bulbs like that. Weak electrical contacts cause heat and draw extra amps... So good call on replacing those connectors. They're not too expensive anyway.

Burb is no-go - fuel pump or filter??

It does makes sense now... if the lack of fuel is having the engine revv all over, then of course the tach will be jumping all over.

Then for one, the fork is not aligned on the slave cylinder... or the throw out bearing is not seated right... for the lack of pedal. 2nd not to be able to get into gears, either trans isn't sitting right or cover is hitting... just weird. Yes, it's kinda on your friend. What sense is...

    Please help!!! Clutch/Tranny Issues

The only thing I can think is that the trans wasn't aligned properly? That's a bit weird now it won't go into gear even if vehicle is off. Did your installer test things out before leaving? Technically it's on them. ...
