I have a 1983 gmc high sierra that I have been working on for a couple of years. Not much of an engine guy coming from a body shop family. But I can handle myself for most of the engine stuff. Got a new used carburetor and I cannot figure out how to hook up my throttle, kickdown etc. Do I need a new bracket. If you guys know something, help would be mostly appreciated. I have a sbc 350 and a th350 supposedly.

That cable certainly doesn't have the right geometry. .. I don't see where the throttle cable is either. Looks like you'll need the TV cable bracket adapter for this carb. I'll see if I can find the link.

Never mind..
That's the throttle cable hooked up, still need the adapter for TV cable that's laying there

By the looks of the TV cable you have a 700R4 trans not a TH350. You should be able to get the correct adapters from your local auto parts store. I would move the throttle to the big hole on the top, will work bettr up there. The bracket you have should work fine, I have the same on my truck and no issues. If its a 700R4 you'll have to reset your TV cable after you get it connected to the carb.
A quick check to verify what trans you have is look at the trans itself, beside the tail cone if its a TH350 it will have a vacuum modulator there (little gold colored dude with a hose hooked to it) if the modulator is on the side of the trans ( near the front passenger side) then its a TH400 (typically these are on 3/4ton and up), if no vacuum modulator its a 700R4.

TH350 and 400 are 3 speed trans no overdirve, 700R4 has an overdrive

It does have a modulator with a blue stripe on the passenger side. Was told th350 trans pan had 13 bolts, and the 700r had something like 18. I don't really know for sure what I have to be honest. It's a Frankenstein truck

Post a pic of the pan. Then we can verify for ya. Is the modulator on the back passenger side( pointed towards the rear axle) or up by the starter pointed towards the passenger door?

And yes the TH350 pan has 13 bolts but an easier way to tell is by the shape. TH350 is a square with one conner cut off the 700R4 is a square and the TH400 is an odd shaped looking Texas.

Definitely a th350 trans pan judging my the picture just replaced the filter and gasket on it. Modulator is directly across from the governor gear on the passenger side, which I just replaced. Just don't understand why I have a tv cable instead of a kickdown. I will post some pictures when I get home from work. Thanks for all the help guys.

If you have a 350, you do not have a TV cable, it's a kick down cable, TV cable is on a 700R/200R, they are pretty much in the same place on the case though.
