Depending on how big of a box a bed side comes in, I believe I could do it..
Is there a sales counter there at AMD, or will I have to arrange it by phone or Email?
I’m on vacation right now, and AMD is less than a hour away from me…
but I don’t have anywhere in my rig to haul a bed side home. A fifthwheel hitch takes up a lot of space in a dually. :)
Stuff like this amazes me, the history and the perseverance to accomplish it.

I got lucky the guy I bought my 208 from just had the brace laying there with it.. there was no mention of it in his ad.
It’s 36 1/2” works good with the TH400 and an aftermarket adapter.
Fabbing one certainly wouldn’t be difficult, mild steel would be adequate.
I’m about 8 hrs away from LMC going west, 8 hrs from AMD going south.
I’m getting ready to need a long bed side among a bunch of other body parts so I’ll certainly consider possibly scheduling a pickup and driving to avoid shipping charges.
I used the set from LMC, they’re for a TH400, they fit just fine.
Any line set you buy is going to need a little tweaking… get the little S clips with them.
On my 78 there are two separate harnesses. The tank wiring is a round plug that goes up the drivers side frame rail and enters the cab below the accelerator cable.
Do mean in this kind of condition? I never once thought about saving these, I just haven’t had a chance to toss them in the dumpster.
My workshop space is too limited to waste it on something that I don’t have current need for.
A private equity firm named Sentinel Capital Partners bought the vast majority of those companies a few years ago.
That’s when things really changed in the automotive aftermarket world.
The epoxy would work, but it wasn’t a long term fix, eventually it would fail also.
There used to be replacement plug kits that had o-rings that replace the originals.
It’s been decades since I’ve worked on a Qjet though they may not be available any more.
I just went through this on my hinges, both sides were in terrible shape.
It seems none of the individual hinge parts are available, but complete new hinges are…
Saw this today, probably a cool piece.
My best friend is heavily involved with the Mecum auction scene, I’ve been to a couple with him it’s a blast.
