    NAPA Power Steering Pump?

I bought a Napa pump a few months ago, haven’t got to try it yet but hope to soon. I like my local Napa store, the guy is very knowledgeable and they have as good or better parts than anyone else in my opinion.

    Correcting uneven suspension

Take both springs out, flip them over and compare the height of the two.. is there a difference? If there is there’s your issue, if not you have a spring mount, bushing, frame etc.. problem. Multiple Battery types and the danger of diode damage with modern batteries mixed with Lead Acid and OEM alternators.

The Victron is the unit I’ve seen installed in a friends rig, 50 amp I believe. One thing to mention though is he’s using it with a big diesel pickup with dual batteries and I’m sure a substantial alternator.

Multiple Battery types and the danger of diode damage with modern batteries mixed with Lead Acid and OEM alternators.

A large segment of the RV world has fully embraced the lithium batteries and all the various challenges of “Boondocking” AKA as off grid. Many have several batteries, inverter and multiple solar panels. The few guys I know doing it have a generator as a back up, either gas or propane powered...

Which posi unit do you like?

The posi units with spring loaded clutches always work well on the street, we used to have to use an additive with those before synthetic lubricants. They will hold up fine unless you’re using slicks. A locker will be radical on the street, it’s really for race applications. I’ve got TruTracs...

NP203 transfer case availability and rebuild

The 32 spline input gear also has a bigger bearing that means the case has to be bored for the larger bearing also… it’s not a tough job for an experienced machinist but another cost involved. I spoke with that retailer when I thought about rebuilding my 203, they didn’t have the chains in...

Help with difficult problem!!! ‘83 K5/4” lift/NP208 mounting height with incorrect homemade spacers vs correct spacers???

I believe we touched on this in your previous post. You may need to loosen the motor mount to frame bolts to get a little wiggle room for the crossmember to line up. I believe those crossmember bolts should be 7/16” diameter bolts not 1/2” also. The drive shaft angle may require the reared to...

Is small front cross member movement normal

You probably need to remove the steering box to really inspect for cracks. There should be no movement anywhere in the crossmember.
