What is your daily if not square body?

Of course it works...if you do it right. If it doesn't work, you didn't do it right.

What is your daily if not square body?

My daily has been a 97 Ford Ranger (SHUT UP!) 2.3L 5speed. I bought it new in 98 and it has 178,000 miles on it. Still running the original clutch and it is still straight. After nearly 20 years of commercial driving, a clutch just doesn't appeal to me any more. Last June I bought a 96 Nissan...

    STOLEN SQUAREBODY

While I agree it is too harsh for simple theft, we have a problem with respect. Kids are demanding respect without having done anything to earn it. They feel they are entitled to what someone else has earned without working for it. I fear that it will take draconian measures to set the...

    STOLEN SQUAREBODY

No need to be cruel and turn to torture. Either of the above methods set up properly are effective for death without being cruel. I like the guillotine simply because it is 100% effective. You don't have to worry about making sure the rope is the right length for the right weight. The blade...

New trucks are no longer trucks

Forget a ratchet strap. You want to confuse them, hand them a piece of rope and tell them to secure a load.

New trucks are no longer trucks

After all the bashing Chevy did over Ford's aluminum bed, I'm curious how well that carbon fiber bed is going to hold up. I see this as ending poorly for them. I'm not opposed to innovation but there is something to be said for "It's simple and it works.". Of course, simple doesn't bring the...

Stay Away From thepartsmonster On eBay or anywhere

Like you said, stuff happens. I've been in the customer service game long enough I have seen too many things go sideways. My pholosophy is that anyone can have something go wrong either by accident or screwup... what makes or breaks a company is how they respond to it. If the comapny does...

    I've been unfaithful...

I jest of course. However, my daily driver for the last 20 years has been a 97 Ford Ranger 2.3L 5 speed. While it needs some work, the thing still runs great. I'm at a point though where a clutch just isn't fun in a DD anymore. I also like the idea of 4WD in the winter. I have no shame in...

    I've been unfaithful...

I have my old 77 c30 that I really haven't done anything with. Last time I fired it up I'm pretty sure I spun a bearing and I can't even get it into my shop to work on it. The guy who built the shop was into ricers and didn't think a garage door needed to be much bigger than a Honda Civic...

Show me your 8 lug wheels!

Sorry @Rusty Nail, I didn't see this. I'd love to give you a great answer but the honest answer is that these are the wheels my truck came with.

    Tool truck franchises

I figured the hours would be longer, but that comes with owning your own business. I agree with all the extras on the truck. I keep seeing sunglasses displays and refridgerators on trucks and that has me scratching my head. The tool truck is a rolling candy store, I get that, but not THAT...

    Tool truck franchises

Just my own opinion, which may not help me with any of the franchisers, is that no one has the best tools across the board. Each probably has the best at something but at that level they are all worthy. I'm not a salesman, the product will sell itself. There is nothing to be gained by...

    Tool truck franchises

I understand all those points already. Still working out the down payment. I'm looking at the big 3 and have ruled out Cornwell for now. The thought of being on the hook for my own success is a bit scary but I feel better about this now than I did a while ago. I have the customer service...

    Tool truck franchises

Has anybody here ever looked into a tool truck franchise? I'm thinking this over and looking for input from those who may be in the know. At this point I am just doing research into the different companies and opportunities. I know a couple guys that do or have done it but they do a real good...

What have you done to your square lately??

Fired my truck up for the first time in close to a year. Battery is fried but I'm not surprised by that. Most distressing is the knock it has developed since it ran last.
