    quad shock brackets

Seems to me the fact they are NOT running parallel to each other would be the major contributor to broken lower mounts, rather than the fact there are two of them. hirschdale, when you run yours are they set up parallel, or skewed like the factory set-up?

Never heard of it until now. Looks like an interesting place though! I have never had a vehicle I would feel comfortable bringing there.

Looks like crap. You sure you want to be seen in it? When should I come and get it out of your way? Looks very nice! Is that the same lift still?

    Tow power opinions *

Another thing to consider too... If you insist on LS power, I would look for a 99+ GM truck. As much as I love my square, a newer truck has better chassis and brakes stock. And you could get an extended cab so you don't have that long box look but you will have the extra length. You should...

    Old77: Wife's Burb

Let me rephrase that... Are they going to make an appearance on the 98?! Winter wheel idea sounds good too.

That is one sweet looking rig! The new wheels are a huge improvement! Are the old ones going to make an appearance on your truck?

I think you could squeeze some x12.5's on 7" wide wheels, but if I am not mistaken the GM ralleys can be had in a 8" wide variety. I would find a set of 8" wide ralleys and call it a day. Does your truck have 6 lug axles? That black truck is sharp, but it's not mine. I have that saved...

    New guy from Michigan

Greetings Bob from Michigan! I am Bob... from Michigan... What part of MI you located? I assume you didn't do the lift yourself, so without getting positive confirmation from the person who did it, or getting parts numbers off something and cross-referencing it, you may never know...

Banks Power Pack Air Filter Housing

Anyone have/running one of these one things on your square? I think they look cool, and they would definitely be a conversation piece when you open the hood. I am curious if they clear the hood and cowl on our trucks. There is not much information about them on the net.

    Tach cluster issues

Possibly. I have been thinking of putting a filter in the wire when/if I ever get my factory one installed. I am assuming you can use one from any GM vehicle. I thought I saw one cheap for the El Camino/Monte Carlo recently. I have an aftermarket tach harness from Classic for our trucks...

    Tach cluster issues

Pretty sure something is messed up on the circuit board of the tach. (Not to be confused with the printed circuit for the other gauges.) There is a good write up somewhere on the web about what the problem might be. You could fix it yourself if you can solder on circuit boards. I have a link...

any ideas on installing a auxiliary fuel tank

Lol! That falls under the getting creative category. There are many options besides in the floor, they just take some planning and modification.

Burb tank in your pickup would put the filler in the floor of the bed. Unless you got creative.

    Which unit for TBI swap?

Well... I acquired a 454 TBI today. Wasn't necessarily intending to, but I did. A couple of guys and I were discussing various swaps at work one day, and TBI on my '79 came up. One of the guys says, "Hey, I got a 454 TBI and intake at home. Wanna buy it?" I said, "Maybe, if it was...

    H2 wheels

I had a set that I was saving, but sold after someone gave me an offer I couldn't refuse. I pictures of trucks with them on, let me see if I can find them. Personally I think they look good! I have my eyes out for another set. To my knowledge, no mods needed. edit: Sorry no H2 pics...

any ideas on installing a auxiliary fuel tank

Back in the day my dad had an auxiliary tank added. It is an aftermarket tank that fills through the wheel well. It hasn't been used in years and I am probably going to remove it this year. I do not have pics right now, sorry. I can get them if you like. And I do not know what brand or...
