front axle identification help
Its a Dana 44, if it were a Dana 60 you would have kingpins for the upper ball joints. IIRC, GM started using them in 76 or 77. Before that it was a Dana 44.- dvdswan

Welcome to the site. What's the image in your head? I would suggest perusing google images and look for a color that pops to you. Then look at interiors, suspensions, wheel/tire combos, etc. Everyone is going to have different thoughts which is great, but you're not building everyones...- dvdswan

Wow, LMC or rockauto don't show them. Did yours get bent? From the looks it doesn't have and "wear" parts as the TREs, draglink, etc. have the joints. So I can see why they aren't available new.
