    Thanks guys that's what I thought, mine is the stock original R4 and no one within reasonable driving distance can build it to handle my motor, it dynoed @ 675hp/715tq... R4 and 60E are very close in cost for a 700/800hp build from most of the big name builders, downfall is the US Shift Quick 4...

    Casey would that be the case with the 4L60E also ? Thats what I want to run and was under the impression the 60 was the same dimensions as the R4... US Shift makes a banging sweet controller...

    I hear ya Mark it surely can be done but as you say "well done" is the key ingredient ! Well done gets expensive with any motor and a lot of peeps either budget wise cant or just wont go that extra mile... Hey we agree on the 5.7" rods lol ! :cheers:

    The 400 SBC was just a piss poor design period... As craig stated the cylinder walls are thin, paper thin, you're already 30 over better hope it cleans up nice @ 40 over do NOT go 60, most reputable machine shop slash motor builders won't 60 over that block anyway... Issue 2 the idiotic short...

    Yes sir Skyjacker has excellent ride quality especially when you utilize their rear springs... One hugely popular name I'd never use again is Rancho, horrible ride quality unless they have vastly changed in the last 10 years... My truck by the way does not have quite as much rake as it appears...

    Totally agree with Shorty and Gritty gotta have rake ! I currently run a 4" Skyjacker all springs NO BLOCKS best riding lift kit ever and I've run them all... I'll share my little secret to get perfect height and clean rake if that's your preference... I always remove the bottom flat "helper"...

    This prolly wont help much but the Lawrence is a great quality 4 panel, I like the 3 panel myself so I can center the Harley Bar & Shield sticker lol but very hard to find, if I recall correctly there is an electric 3 panel LMC use to offer ? Expensive though if I recall correctly....

    I purchased a Borgeson myself but haven't installed it yet, I like the feel of stiff power steering so hope I like it... I also bought an Autofab steering box slash frame reinforcement, kind of a little know secret out there unless you really reasearch.... Nutshell its a BOLT ON frame/steering...
