NEW Brothers Dash Bezels - CHEAP

For $12.89 to my door, even if it IS junky, it's going to be better than my non-existent one.

New build 454 and the wife hates the exhaust smell

How long have you been running the sniper? Takes a little bit for Holley systems to lean out since fatter is generally safer. You could throw a smaller tune at it as well. Tell the unit it's a 396 or something.

    Replacing DVOM batteries

Good metering habit is to test lead ohms before doing anything. Literally the first thing I always do. SHOOT! I not only is that a great idea, that lead (punny) me to these with a built in ATO fuse! https://www.amazon.com/dp/B006YP7GSY/

    Replacing DVOM batteries

I have found 9v batteries less prone to leaking. Likely due to their construction where any cell leakage is contained in the main body. My fluke uses a 9v. One of my cheapies uses a 9v. The others use AA or AAA. Find a cheap used Fluke 87 and beat the hell out of it. If you're patient, they can...

    LTZ Seat Swap

Well, I'll be dipped. Found a pinout. Hope this helps. https://www.oemcarandtruckseats.com/blogs/knowledge-base/92612615-2007-2014-nnbs-chevy-gm-seat-swap-memory-bypass-heat-setup?srsltid=AfmBOorqU6ARdG6Mr5T-7TTuu3snSk9htEeCnjIYAaPosMivJesJGdkx Looks like pin A1-Light Blue is the driver seat...

    LTZ Seat Swap

I have no idea on the specifics of that seat, but usually there's no temperature sensors in seats. They're usually thermally regulated. They only get as hot with how much power you throw at them. 14v is full tilt heat. If you measure the resistance of the heater, you can calculate how much heat...

Identify wiring & 3 prone connector, located under driver side dash

The third pin, when used, was for ignition power. Battery/Ignition/Ground in varying order, almost always with the ground pin on the single side, IIRC.

    '84 K20 Suburban re-wire

The American Autowire universal kits are great. The Power Plus 20 is a bargain. GM pattern fuse panel, ignition connector, column comb connector. I've used a Power Plus, a Highway 15 and a Builder style system. They're all good universal style kits. For an OE style look and pretty cheap, the...

    What year tailgate is this??

'73-'76 had the stud for the link arms on the tailgate and these also had the fingers. I believe '76 was a crossover year and could have either style. The '77-'87 had the stud on the latch without fingers. I think all the link arms had the space for the alignment fingers, no matter the year...

A very expensive and dumb mistake (update I was wrong)

Send it. If you've got 5.13 gears with an airlocker, you're not running at 85mph. I don't think you'll have any problem with it.

    Car Hauler tips/tricks/ideas

Looks good to me. We mounted ours in a very similar way. Also, we used a waterproof deck sealant. Kinda like a roll on rubber. It's my buddy's trailer and that's what he wanted. Held up pretty well. When it's time for a re-coat, I think we'll just do some sort of bedliner. If it were MY...

    Whatcha do with that...?

I was thinking the same thing. I keep a pair of old water pumps when I upgrade to better ones. If I have a pump let go, I have a spare I can throw on real quick. Having alternators around has saved my behind twice in recent history. 10/12si alternators are great and easy to rebuild. Even if the...

    HEI module dwell time.

I bought my '78 in 2004 or 2005. Had some unknown HEI dizzy in it. Probably the cheapest one the P.O. could get. I was a teen and abused that truck. Something went bad with the ignition. Could've been a loose connection or something like that. I would check nowadays, but I didn't know what I was...

    HEI module dwell time.

Used to roll around with an extra HEI module in my '78 K25. Got me out of a jam once or twice. Nowadays, HEI distributors are so cheap, I have a whole spare in the race tool box.

Not talking voltage, but current. And that's straight from the instructions for the 8207.

The coil just needs ignition switched positive and a ground, through the module or breaker points or whatever. And a ballast resistor if there's no current limiting in the distributor.

Rear AC Evap core & blower motor wheels. 86 Burb

The motor is the same for a '86 as a '76. And the '76 blower wheels show available at rock auto. Compare the external dimensions I linked above and you should be good to go.

Rear AC Evap core & blower motor wheels. 86 Burb

I don't KNOW, but they sure LOOK the same. The one for a '88 R10 Suburban with a 350 (Four Seasons 54430) lists dimensions. Check it against yours. Blower wheels? The Four Seasons catalog shows a couple blower wheels that may work...

Wanting Led upgrade throughout while keeping stock look... Recommendations?

Hunter is not wrong. LED bulbs in the last five years have gotten much better at recreating the pattern of incandescent bulbs and working appropriately in reflectors. I've been running LED retrofit bulbs in my reflector based daily and motorcycle for that long. The main difference is I was able...

Wanting Led upgrade throughout while keeping stock look... Recommendations?

I have. Not in that specific application, but they are designed to flow electricity just like a filament bulb without the extra impedance. The work when inserted in either direction.

Wanting Led upgrade throughout while keeping stock look... Recommendations?

There are a ton of options. I recommend getting a glass housing for your headlights so you can swap whatever kind of LED you want in to it. As far as the parking lights, non-polar 194 LEDs should work. I will be testing this on my own soon. Non polars have a rectifier built in so that they work...
