Hi all,

Desperately seaking a new rear AC evap core and 2x blower motor wheels. Ive got a new blower motor for the rear already.

Anyone got a lead?

LMC dont list the rear Evap, Roackauto has been on backorder for months. Cant find the two small wheels anywhere.

I can find a rear evap core for 87+, but im guessing they are different?

Any help greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Does anyone know if the evap core from an 88+ will fit the earlier years?

LMC list it as the same part from 78-91.

Rockauto make a distinction from 88+. The 88+ part is readily available.

The motor is the same for a '86 as a '76. And the '76 blower wheels show available at rock auto. Compare the external dimensions I linked above and you should be good to go.

And I ordered the 35528 blower wheels listed for the 76 (and also in the FS catalogue).

Thanks for the advice, hopefully this will be the solution.

After a heck of a lot of 'customising', we got that evap core to fit. Probably 3-5 hours in adjusting, smashing, hammering, fabricating. Definitely not direct fit.

It functions great, but form wise... heck no.

That's typical for aftermarket evaporators for many applications. You gotta make them fit.
